Five levels of certainty

Trade speed for assurance, per job. Faster checks for everyday copies; full hashing or a checksum manifest for archives and client handoffs.

Fastest — commit on a clean write + flush

Light — destination byte count matches the source

Level 2 · Size + timestamp

Balanced — size and modification time both match

Level 3 · SHA-256

Strong — both files hashed end to end, byte-for-byte proof

Level 4 · Manifest

Archival — a checksum manifest generated and checked across the set

Paranoid about your data, so you don't have to be

Sources are deleted only after the destination copy is complete and passes verification.
Existing destination files are never replaced unless you chose a clear conflict rule — keep both, skip, replace, or replace-if-newer, with apply-to-all.
In-flight files use temporary partial names, so nothing half-copied ever masquerades as a finished file.
Cancelling keeps everything already committed — only the in-flight partial is discarded.
Network drops on a NAS or share auto-pause the job and auto-resume when the volume returns.
